Patience is something that has been lost to the annals of time. This is especially true when it comes to our United States sensibility of self-importance. It is doubly true when referring to airline travel. Patience is a virtue and we Americans don’t have any. Consider this photo for a moment.

Orlando - Weekly Weight Update

Sunday was the first day of my last business trip at Frank & Company. I was heading down for three days of management meetings and probably more than a little socializing with my co-workers. After a few hours on an airplane and about an hour waiting for and riding on a shuttle I made my way over to the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress and got checked into the hotel.

Hot-Lanta...Weekly Weight Update

The week was full of ups and downs when it comes to managing weight and exercise. Sunday was the first full day spent in Atlanta after a very long day of traveling. We started the day by finding a local spot for breakfast so we made our way to the Atlanta Breakfast Club which was just a few steps away from our hotel and located directly across the street from the Coca-Cola experience in downtown Atlanta. The food was absolutely amazing. After seeing everyone sitting around us dining on the chicken and waffles I really wanted to get that southern delicacy but I also knew that I would be getting multiple chances and fried chicken during the few days I’d be in Atlanta. Instead I got a basic breakfast of eggs, bacon, and cheese grits. It was out of this world good and if you are looking for a place to get some breakfast in Atlanta make sure to look this place up.

In the Desert…Weekly Weight Update

The week started out with a bang. I knew I was going to be going out of town for work for the week so I wanted to make sure that I got in a good workout. I woke up and headed over to Orange Theory Fitness first thing on Sunday morning. That workout always destroys me but I suppose that is a good thing. The best part was running into my good friend, Melanie, in the parking lot. She was on her way in while I was on my way out. There isn’t anything quite as nice as running into an old friend.

Shipping up to Boston...Weekly Weight Update

From a weight loss perspective this week couldn't have been worse (except, of course, for the upcoming week). There were two major events that occurred this week that would cause anyone to fall off the wagon, so to speak, when they are in mid-weight loss: (1) the United States of America celebrated it's 240th + two days birthday on Monday, July 4th, and (2) it was the week before a vacation. How could I have been expected to stick to a diet plan with those temptations?

Graduation...Weekly Weight Update

The week started off with a bang. No, I mean literally started off with a bang. On Saturday night when Rizzo and I were on our way to our NextStop Theatre show a wire in our garage door snapped and the door came crashing down. The result was a door that wouldn't close and swung across the garage to bend the rail. The point of that was to tell you that I didn't go to work on Tuesday because the garage door guy was coming by to assess the situation and to hopefully repair the door.
