Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

I document my stupid

Periodic Poundage Update - Cabin Fever

I find it hard to believe that it has already been a month since the last periodic poundage update. I wouldn’t think time would move so quickly and so slowly at the same time. I suppose that is what happens when you start to get into a routine. There is an old adage that says the days are long but the years are short (or something like that). Well it is certainly true. The days seem to drag on endlessly trying to get work done, keep kids alive, and still get in some exercise.

This week was the first week I went back to running without using intervals. I’m using a 10K trainer that builds up your endurance so this week I had a single 20 minute run but then dropped back down to longer intervals. I still don’t remember running being this hard any of my previous times going through this but maybe it is because of being stuck inside all day.

One thing I’ve started doing to entertain myself (certainly not anyone reading this because you already know it isn’t entertaining) was to post a picture a day of our vinyl collection. I just started on a whim while I was listening to the first record, Abbott and Costello, and started going in order. We keep our records in alphabetical order by artist so it has had some groupings. Again, it didn’t seem like I had been posting records for that long until I started writing this. At the time I’m writing, I’ve posted the first 30 records in our collection. An entire month has passed of my sticking up silly pictures of our records. I guess it is my way of adding to the “Post an Album Cover” threads I’m sure you have all seen on Facebook.

We’ve also been watching some more movies after we have cleaned up the basement so it is actually usable. Rizzo actually got me a poster of 100 Movies Bucket List that is a cool scratch off poster. Granted, I’ve seen most of these movies already but I decided not to scratch any off until I have watched them again. Right now we are working through the easy ones (meaning we already own them or they are kids movies that we can watch as a family) so we can start scratching but soon we will get into the real hardcore stuff (get your mind out of the gutters, jerks!).

Well, better get to the point of writing this entire segment. The last time I checked in I was 223.2 lbs. Since then, I’ve only lost another 1 lb down to 222.2 which represents 1.5% of my total weight since starting over again. It still isn’t much but as we settle into the new normal I’m pretty proud of the fact that I’m not ballooning out of control. All we can do is keep trying and if I can lose a bit here and there then I can keep going in the right directly.

Stay healthy.

Oh, and here is some other stuff.
