Periodic Poundage Report - Sans Exercise

Sunday. A day that will live in infamy. The day that has started it all over again. The day that I will announce my plans to the world. The day that will forever be the first day of the week. (Yes it is Rizzo. Yes. It. Is. Just go look at the calendar. What is the first day? That’s right, Sunday).

We are starting all over again. I guess I can call this post the baseline. It is a new starting point. It will also be harder to get started since I’m starting without the advantage of exercise. Maybe that will be helpful because I won’t have the exercise “crutch” to fall back on. I can’t just exercise off those few extra beers because, for the time being, I’m sidelined after surgery.

So, enough with the jibber jabber. Let’s get down to brass tax. I’m starting this weight loss adventure at a whopping 225.6. While I’m not happy with that weight, it is still 42 down from my first starting point nearly six years ago. That is always a good thing.

My goal: to get down to 200 lbs by July 1st. That means losing 25 pounds in about 4 months. That equals about 1.3 lbs per week.

Is it possible? Only the clairvoyants know the answer.

Unlike the previous time around, I won’t be reporting a weight update weekly. Well, maybe I will. I don’t want to keep such a tight grip on my blog that I feel shackled to reporting a weekly weight update. So instead, I’m going to provide a Periodic Poundage Report which will occur at least monthly. Maybe I’ll do it more often if I’m feeling extra excited but at least each month.
